Enchinoderm Study
An exciting collaboration between Ceramicist Helen McCormick and Willow artist Vik Westaway. This wall sculpture was inspired by ancient echinoderm fossils found in the rocks and seabeds of the south west. Helen’s beautiful blue toned clay elements are embedded with a tiny amount of sand from the devon coast. These elements are then woven with willow to form organic curves and knots leaving the very delicate tips of the willow exposed. A truly unique celebration of Clay and Sticks.
